Writing for the web and Website usability User-friendly websites and website content A website is only as good as the message it sends; and how easily the target audience can access that message. There is growing awareness in the commercial world and the blogging community that website users want quick and easily accessed answers to their questions. Flashy (and often expensively) designed websites do not necessarily grab and hold the audience. Writing for the web (Writing for website reading) and Website usability (Making your website user-friendly) are new, stand-alone, self contained courses that aim to promote the development of user-friendly websites and website content. The courses, either together or separately, are for anyone interested in and/or involved in website development and content writing and editing. The courses are presented in either downloadable, self access format or for face-to-face classroom delivery. This option includes a Facilitator’s Guide and Power Point slides. Both courses have been developed on the PPP teaching model. That is Presentation- input, Practice- exercises to help learner’s test their knowledge and skills, and Production- learners apply their new skills and knowledge. |

This Useful Guide will lead you through some of the critical thinking relating to how to manage yourself more effectively and offer you a palatable array of products for your consumption along the way. |
